Week #27: Mar. 27th - 31st

Dear Families, Is it really the last day of March?!  I hope you've enjoyed some of the peaks of our sunnier days we've had!  It's definitely welcomed and has put a smile on all the children's (and mine) faces as they run, jump, and PLAY during recesses :)   Have a lovely weekend, BUT BEWARE and don't get 'fooled' tomorrow ;) CHARACTER RECOGNITION ASSEMBLY: On Thursday, we recognized March's character trait of Integrity -   “We can always be trusted even when NO ONE IS WATCHING!”    I have shared with my students how I feel this trait encompasses all our character traits that we have focused on thus far.   I believe if a person demonstrates integrity , they also possess  respect, caring, courage, honesty, optimism, cooperation, inclusiveness, empathy, and responsibility.     I am comforted in knowing that WE at Nottawa are truly surrounded with many students and staff who consistently model integrity in their actions. Week #26: Mar. 20th - 24th

Dear Families, Happy Spring!  It was so wonderful seeing my students this week, I had missed them tremendously!  I hope you enjoyed a fun-filled March Break as a family.  I heard so many neat experiences!   It was a bright and sunny return to school on Monday so we took full advantage and went for a mindful nature walk.   We always enjoy these as it gives us the opportunity to be one with nature and have heart to heart chats along the way :) I would also like to acknowledge how calmly and accountably every student entered the classroom after the Break.  It was like we hadn't missed a beat and continued smoothly into our learning. With that as you can see, we're back to our regular routines and regimes!  Just the way we like it ;)  I bet as a parent, you're delighted by this too :-)   As you'll see and read below, it was a meaningful and productive week of learning, celebrating and recognizing some very special events such as World...
